Festival of Children’s Literature|German children’s books author Boris Pfeiffer and artist and illustrator Aljoscha Blau will conduct workshops for various age groups.

For the 11th year in a row the Bookaroo Festival-India’s most-travelled festival, continues the celebration of children’s books, storytelling and reading. It will bring together children, authors, illustrators and books at the picturesque and expansive lawns of Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) on Rajendra Prasad. For two exciting days, stalwarts from all over the world will celebrate the joy of books and literature amongst them the German children’s books author Boris Pfeiffer and Illustrator artist and illustrator Aljoscha Blau.
-Boris Pfeiffer | Author
Born 1964 in Berlin, is a German writer of children's books, theater plays and poetry. As a child Boris Pfeiffer narrated his stories to the asphalt strip in front of the car window during long journeys with his parents. Before starting out as a writer, he was a theatre director and scriptwriter. His books include the popular series The Wild Pack, featuring a very sophisticated chameleon, a gorilla with a big heart and existentialist wolf. His books have been widely translated. What would you do if you were a wild animal living in a city? Come along and help Boris imagine how it feels to live in a world that is not made for you.
10-12 years |Out of the Cage
Try and look at the human world through the eyes of a wild animal trapped in a city. You may see things that you had never imagined before. Want to play this game? Join in.
-Aljoscha Blau | Artist and Illustrator
Born in 1972 in St. Petersburg, Aljoscha Blau graduated from HAW in Hamburg in Illustration and Graphic Arts and has been working ever since as illustrator for German and international publishers. He has been nominated every year for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award since 2009. More about Aljoscha Blau
