Starting Realities : Documentary Theatre workshop

Starting Realities is a workshop series designed to build audiences, pedagogy & new practitioners for Documentary theatre in India. A three-city workshop in 2018 was facilitated by theatre maker Anuja Ghosalkar across the country. Extending from this series, Kai Tuchmann’s workshop flags off the global series in January 2019. This will be followed by a host of international workshops in the coming year.

Tuchmann’s sessions will examine the relationship between fiction and fact in Documentary theatre-making. As a point of entry to explore notions of evidence, truth and falsity, a Youtube broadcast of Chinese scientist Prof. HE’s claims of be the first to create genetically edited twins will be investigated.
