What happens when stories are faced with the barriers created by language? Can translation help overcome them?
The words which make up a language don’t simply bear a meaning, they also shoulder the legacy of the language. When stories are translated, they become a wonderful amalgamation of the cultures of two different languages.
In May, Readings in the Shed is back at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai with its Chapter XI: Found in Translation. Join us for a dramatic reading of German short stories translated in Hindi, Marathi and English.

Readers: Padma Damodaran, Nikhil Murali, Akshay Shimpi and Himali Kothari
Creative editor: Himali Kothari,
Director : Nikhil Katara
