We are happy to invite you all to the
8th edition of the
Bangalore Literature Festival (BLF).
Highlight of this year's festival is the
Virtual Reality Installation. Experience one of the famous novella of the twentieth century,
''Die Verwandlung'' ('The Metamorphosis') by Franz Kafka in virtual reality.
This VR-adaptation of 'The Metamorphosis' gives you the chance to discover the life of Gregor Samsa and to feel the transformation into a bug in your own body.
Like Gregor Samsa you will also wake up as a huge insect in a room faithfully reproduced after the original and have to learn how to move around in your new Avtaar as an insect. “
VRwandlung transfers Franz Kafka’s work from the pages of a book to virtual reality. The protagonist is no longer Gregor Samsa, but you”, explains Mika Johnson, the director who created the theme room with his young start-up team. During this 6 minutes experience, you as Gregor Samsa can explore the bed room, pull out some drawers and finds the key to unlock the door…once the door opens and the game ends.
The Virtual Reality Installation was developed by the
Goethe-Institut Prague together with Mika Johnson and is presented in by
Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan.
