Purpose choreographed by
Sonia Soney.
Inspired by Maya Angelou's, "I Rise", this piece was originally conceptualised during
Sonia Soney's contemporary dance study at Attakkalari. Exploring ideas of liberation & freedom from misogyny and patriarchal oppression, the evening is designed to be one of hope, inviting change and inviting healing.
Sonia Soney is slated to be one of the first-ever
bangaloREsidents-Expanded@Weltkunstzimmer in Düsseldorf in August 2021.
