We are happy to once again collaborate with the
Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF), now in its
11th edition.
Besides supporting the production of this prestigious online Festival, this year's
German contribution includes a
Masterclass: Editing as a Process by reputed editor
Andrew Bird.

Andrew Bird is an award-winning British film editor, based in Hamburg, Germany. He is best known for his works in German cinema and is winner of awards for internationally-acknowledged films like The Countess, Comrades In Dreams and She, A Chinese. Bird was awarded the
Deutsche Filmpreis and the
German Film Critics Award. He also took home the
German Best Editor Award for The Edge of Heaven.
Bird, who studied German and Art History in Southampton and Hamburg, worked as a translator and script supervisor before he became one of the most acclaimed editors in the world. Such was his rise and repute that film festivals across the world have started including a Bird Retrospective, including essential viewing like Gigantic (Sebastian Schipper), Head-On (Fatih Akin), The Countess (Julie Delpy) and The Future (Miranda July).
The
Masterclass will take place on
Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 7.30 p.m. and
will be
streamed live on the BISFF social media channels.
