Education plays a critical role in women's empowerment. It enables them to face the manifold challenges and overcome their traditional role. Education of women is a powerful tool that can change their position in the society. But for a long time, many women especially in the rural areas have been denied this right. Many NGOs are working tirelessly to change the lives of women and girls for powerful futures. One such NGO is Shreeja. It’s mission is - Empowering women through sports and education and enabling them to realize their full potential to build a gender-equitable society.
This year, to celebrate
International Women’s Day, Goethe-Institut Kolkata is extending its support to Shreeja by organizing a
Book Donation Drive. This drive will be held at the premises of Goethe-Institut Kolkata on 08.03.2022 from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. It is a small effort to help young women and girls in rural areas by donating textbooks in Bengali and English languages. You are cordially invited to join us in this noble cause by donating your books. We will also arrange for a book-stall where you are welcome to directly buy books and donate.

English story books: Age 5 to 16
General knowledge books
Encyclopedia
Dictionary (Bengali to English)
Academic Books (English, Math, Science – 1 till Class 10
Academic Books (Geography, Philosophy, Political Science – Class 11 and 12
