These sessions invite children between the ages of 9-12 to discover the world of art and music through a series of presentations and activities. KinderKunstKiste is not an attempt to teach, but to encourage young people to explore and appreciate art and artists, and maybe even find the inspiration for their own sparks of creativity.
Feedback from a parent, "Thank you for a very engaging session on Brahms. The whole concept is fantastic, for it expands the learning of the child, showing horizons and worlds not covered in formal education, and having little probability of being discussed at home unless parents themselves have had exposure to it and have a taste for it. Your format and objectives are good. This is not the forum to teach intricacies. You are doing the right thing by providing exposure."
These sessions will be presented online from April to September 2022 on every third Saturday of the month, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. To sign-up for the session please fill-up the form at

Details of the Sessions:
APRIL TO SEPTEMBER 2022
16 April – Clara Schumann was one of the most distinguished performers of the Romantic era, with a career that spanned 61 years. A performer, composer, and teacher, she was not remembered as a composer until years after her death. However, she was noted for her skill and influence as a pianist. She made it popular to perform serious works in concerts, rather than displays of virtuosity.
21 May – Franz Moritz Wilhelm Marc was a German painter and printmaker, one of the key figures of German Expressionism. He was a founding member of Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider), a journal whose name later became synonymous with the circle of artists collaborating in it. His mature works mostly depict animals and are known for bright colouration.
18 June – Richard Strauss was a composer, conductor, pianist, and violinist. One of the leading composers of the late Romantic era, he started composing when he was only 6 years old and continued for nearly 80 years. He explored nearly every form of classical music, achieving the most success with his operas and tone poems, interpreting famous literary works of the time.
16 July – Sigmar Polke was a German painter who experimented with a wide range of styles, mediums, and topics - from photography to conceptual art, to paintings based on various perspectives on historical events. Active at a time of immense social and cultural change in Germany, he became an influential artist and teacher.
20 August - Arnold Schoenberg was a composer, music theorist, painter, writer, and teacher. He had a huge influence on 20th century classical music, and developed his own compositional method called the twelve-tone technique.
17 September - Paul Klee was a German painter who had a very distinct art style that was influenced by several movements in art including expressionism, cubism, and surrealism. A ground-breaking 20th century artist, he worked with other artists including Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc to bring new perspectives to art.
