Winter 1992, somewhere in the bleak, rundown expanses of northeast Germany: two police inspectors – one from the West, one from the East – are looking into the disappearance of two girls... And end up sinking deeper and deeper into the mire of the formerly divided Germany. A thriller with a sense of history.

Christian Alvart was born in 1974. He is a self-taught film director. He made his feature film debut in 1999 with "Curiosity & the Cat", which was nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize. After his second feature film "Antikörper" ("Antibodies") (2005), he moved to Hollywood and directed horror-thriller "Fall 39" (2007), followed by the sci-fi thriller "Pandorum" (2008). Back in Germany, Alvart worked as a director for the "Tatort" series and directed thrillers and comedies. He also directed the Netflix series "Dogs of Berlin".
