The increased use of digital media provides a chance for libraries as learning and meeting points, giving visitors the opportunity to acquire knowledge, learn new techniques and exchange ideas.
Pop Up Creative Room offers a space to flexibly engage in new content and learning of new skills. Join us if you are between the ages of 7-14 years.
Online workshop on: EARTH SCIENCE AND SPACE
Online Space Exploration – one of its kind space lab for students to learn scientific reasoning in the context of exploring space through real-time viewing and control of robotic telescopes. Students get inspired to learn by looking into space and completing activities which challenge them to use the telescopes to collect and analyse data. They learn the science behind various astronomical events and replicate the same on Simulations using coding.
Learning Outcomes
- Participants learn about astronomy, night sky objects and the science behind them, their history and astrophotography.
- Create a gallery of the images captured from space and analyse data.
- Work collaboratively to solve missions based on their space exploration
- Create online simulations using Coding on space-related topics – like Solar System, Moon, Stars Constellations, Eclipses etc.
Date: 27-28 August 2022
Time: 9:00 am to 11:30 am
- 2 Days: 5 Hours (150 minutes per day)
- 2 innovative activities.
