Final presentation by Shivu Mahesh

Within the framework of AIR_Frankfurt, bangaloREsident-Expanded, Shivu Mahesh has been working at basis Frankfurt from October 2022. Shivu has an experimental artistic practice, using different media and techniques such as clay, ceramics, 3D animation and 3D printing. 

Shivu will conclude his residency with an exhibition that aims at providing space for linguistic exchange and discussions by the virtue of a cognitive and performative experience. Visitors will be able to interact and play with 3D printed toy cars on trails of wet clay. This would leave behind a continuous chain of alphabetical impressions as tire tracks that constitutes into various semantic anecdotes translating between the languages: Kannada and Deutsch. These are words the artist came across after his initial encounter with Deutsch and everyday observations during his stay in Frankfurt.

The exhibition will open on December 16, 2022 at 6.00 p.m. at Basis Projektraum and can be viewed until December 18, 2022 from 3.00 to 7.00 p.m.
