We are delighted to present The Story of Storytellers an evening of Storytelling Performance and Panel Discussion by well known Storytellers Geeta Ramanujam, Roopa Pai and Vikram Sridhar followed by a Panel Discussion with Shinie Antony.

About the performers/speakers:
Geeta Ramanujam © Geeta Ramanujam Geeta Ramanujam
wears many hats. Besides being an internationally renowned storyteller, Geeta is a Master Trainer, Educator Academician, Author and Administrator. She is the pioneer of the storytelling evolution in India. She is the Executive Director and Founder of Kathalaya Trust and Kathalaya’s International Academy of Storytelling, which completes 25 years of its legacy this year. She was recently recognised by the Prime Minister in the Mann ke Baat Programme.

Roopa Pai © Roopa Pai Roopa Pai is one of India’s best-known writers for children. She has written over 25 books, ranging from picture books to chapter books and fiction to non-fiction, on themes as varied as sci-fi fantasy, popular science, maths, history, economics, Indian philosophy, life skills, and medicine. Many of her books are bestsellers and are enjoyed as much by adults as by children.

Vikram Sridhar © Vikram Sridhar Vikram Sridhar is a Performance Storyteller & Theatre Practitioner combining his various interests and work over 20+ years in Theatre, Conservation and Social Work. His stories, performances and workshops for children and adults are rooted in Heritage, Ecology and Folklore, deeply inspired from various communities of the soil. Based in Chennai and Bangalore, he has travelled the country extensively with his  Desi way of Storytelling.

Shinie Antony_Profile © Shinie Antony Shinie Antony has written short-story books Barefoot and Pregnant, The Orphanage For Words, and novels The Girl Who Couldn't Love and When Mira Went Forth and Multiplied. She has compiled the anthologies Why We Don’t Talk, An Unsuitable Woman and Boo. Co-founder of the Bangalore Literature Festival and director of the Bengaluru Poetry Festival, her story A Dog’s Death won the Commonwealth Short Story Asia prize in 2002.
