The declared goal of the bartender Milo is to settle down with a dream woman and his own bar. Before that can happen, however, he still has to convince the woman of his dreams of his plan and raise the required finances – by credit or with a cocaine deal? A high-spirited romantic comedy about the nightlife of Berlin.

Simon Verhoeven was born in Munich on June 20, 1972. His parents are the actress Senta Berger and the director Michael Verhoeven. After graduating from high school in 1991, the young Verhoeven went to the U.S. and began training as an actor at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York, but dropped out after a year. He then studied jazz composition and film music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. His compositional work for his father's film Mother's Courage also dates from this time.
