The young researcher Dr. Franz Walter enters a Faustian pact with the GDR state authorities when he agrees to work for the foreign intelligence services in exchange for a professorship and private privileges. He realises much too late with whom and what he has got himself into – with deadly consequences.
Franziska Stünkel completed her studies as a film director, screenwriter and photo artist at the University of Fine Arts in Kassel and at the University of Applied Sciences in Hanover in the Department of Fine Arts. After her diploma she was appointed master student of Uwe Schrader. During her studies she received several scholarships, e.g. the vgf film production grant. In 1998 Stünkel founded the company Cita Film and since then has also worked as a film producer.

Friday Films are the monthly screenings of German films at the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata. One film is screened every third Friday of the Month from 6.30 pm. All films are in German language with English subtitles.
