- Debussy’s “Pagodes”, a tribute to South Asian influences, evoking the texture of ragas in a meditative soundscape.
- Paganini Variations, Op. 35 (Vol. I), Brahms’s virtuosic homage to Niccolò Paganini’s iconic theme.
ABOUT ANDREAS KÖNIG
Pianist Andreas König, born in Nuremberg, was already a prizewinner in numerous competitions before beginning his formal studies. These included the national competition Jugend musiziert (Cologne), the Steinway Piano Competition in Berlin, and the International Piano Competition in Porto. He has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra.From 2002, he studied under Prof. Erich Appel at the University of Music Würzburg (HfM Würzburg), pursuing a degree in "Artistic Education" with a major in piano. In 2006, he continued his studies at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK Frankfurt am Main) in the class of Prof. Lev Natochenny, completing his diploma in 2009.
He further refined his artistry through a two-year postgraduate programme at the International Chamber Music Institute of the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, studying with Prof. Ralf Gothóni and Prof. Eldar Nebolsin. He has further honed his craft through numerous masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Ferenc Rados, Menahem Pressler, and Bruno Canino.
