International Festival of Moving Image Art - 10th Edition

We are happy to play a significant role in the 10th Edition of Experimenta to be held from 28.11. to 3.12.2017 at the Bhavan.

Experimenta is India’s first and only international biennial celebrating experimental film and moving image art in India. Experimenta is one of the most respected and critically acclaimed independent film festivals in India. Founded by filmmaker Shai Heredia in collaboration with artists, curators, filmmakers and art educators, from across the world, Experimenta has nurtured moving image art in India and has been responsible for putting Indian experimental filmmakers on the international scene.

Experimenta 2017 invites audiences to a feast of over 70 contemporary and rare historical films from across the world over 6 days. The programme sections include Artist Profiles & Talks, Curated Programs, International Competition, Feature Focus and Performances.

Germany is present @ Experimenta in the following programmes (in chronological order), each of which is detailed on its own event page on this website. In addition, we are very proud that the trailer for the festival was created by Bernd Lützeler, during his bangaloREsidency@Experimenta/Srishti in 2017!
