 India is going to host 24th European Union Film Festival (EUFF) from 24 June to 4 July 2019 at Chennai.  This festival is brought to you by the ‘Delegation of the European Union’, ‘Embassies of member states of the European Union’ to India and is organized in cooperation with local partners.

The European Union Film Festival will showcase 23 latest European films from 23 EU member states, thus celebrating diversity and will bring some unusual stories for the world cinema enthusiasts. The selected films as part of the festival will be showcased in 11 cities across India.

The tragicomedy "Me & Kaminski", based on Daniel Kehlmann’s eponymous novel, sees director Wolfgang Becker reunited with his star from "Good Bye, Lenin!", Daniel Brühl, who plays a vain, but unsuccessful arts journalist Sebastian Zöllner who intends to write a biography about Manuel Kaminski. Kaminski caused a sensation in the art world as a blind painter, but has since fallen somewhat into obscurity.

Sebastian visits the old man in his isolated home and promises to take him to see his childhood sweetheart just once more – little does the young journalist know that the crafty old man has his own agenda...
