The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata (www.goethe.de/kolkata) and the Alliance Française du Bengale (http://bengale.afindia.org), in collaboration with the Kolkata based gallery CIMA (http://www.cimaartindia.com/) and Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan, West Bengal (www.visvabharati.ac.in) organizes the interdisciplinary Indo - European Residency Project Kolkata. The residency takes place in Kolkata, West Bengal, India and in Santiniketan, West Bengal, India and lasts eight weeks (seven weeks in Kolkata and one week in Santiniketan). The first Indo-European Residency Project Kolkata was organized in 2017 with the support of the Franco-German Elysee Fund. The third Indo European Residency in 2019 will see the British Council, Kolkata (https://www.britishcouncil.in) collaborating in the project as the fifth partner.

07.12.2019, 6:30 pm: Opening of the exhibition with drawings and photographs by Aditi Aggarwal (India), Sophie Cousinié  (France), Tom Vater (Germany) that they created during the artist residency

The exhibition will be on from 7th – 14th December, 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM

10.12.2019, 6:30 pm: Reading by Tom Vater (Germany) from the crime short stories he wrote during the artist residency

13.12.2019, 7:00 pm and 14.12.2019 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm (two shows at PADATIK) of “Shashito Shorir” a play about trauma, healing and survival, created and directed by Imogen Butler-Cole (Great Britain) during the artist residency.
