Fungal Garden is inspired by underground termite colonies where they nurture fungal gardens for their survival.
Fungal Garden intends to initiate a conversation about the interplay between nature and culture in the current ecology by bringing up scientific experiments into the space. Current practices of modern agriculture and urban gardening will become a part of the conversation. Here, witnessing the micro process of nature’s growth becomes a metaphor for everyday life dealing with the idea of significance and insignificance.
The project, being process based, invites viewers and audiences to engage, discuss, share and bring to realization the Fungal Garden.
