Botanical art is the practice of depicting plant species with accuracy and beauty. While such art is often created in colour, this introductory workshop focuses on sketching in black and white, laying a firm foundation for future botanical paintings. It will help you understand structure, volume and shading in plants. However if you’ve been practising a while, feel free to bring along the colouring medium you’ve been using (watercolours, pencils or felt pens only).
