Alicja Rogalska is an interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin, working internationally. She holds a master’s degree in Cultural Studies from the University of Warsaw and a master’s in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Goldsmiths.

In recent years, her work has been exhibited in numerous prestigious venues and has received various awards, including the Biennale Matter of Art (Prague, 2024), Kunsthalle Recklinghausen (2024), Biennale Videobrasil (São Paulo, 2023-24), New Contemporaries (London & Blackpool, 2023-24), Jogja Biennale (Yogyakarta, 2023), Urbane Künste Ruhr (Essen, 2023), and the Berlin Art Prize (2022, Winner). Other notable exhibitions include Manifesta 14 Prishtina (2022), Temporary Gallery (Cologne, 2021-22), Kunsthalle Wien (2020-21), and OFF Biennale (Budapest, 2020-21).
Rogalska was a scholarship recipient of the DAAD Berliner Künstlerprogramm (2020-21). In recent years, she has participated in several artist residencies, including the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Seoul, 2023), the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Essex (2019-2022), the City of Women Festival (Ljubljana, 2019), The Stuart Hall Library (London, 2019), and Paradise AIR (Matsudo, 2018).

During her stay in Japan, she will create a video installation exploring collective visions of the future in the context of the climate crisis, drawing on scientific perspectives, cultural practices, and philosophical discourses within Japan.
