Music Drama in 3 Acts

This production of Ring by maestro Götz FRIEDRICH, staged over three years at the New National Theatre, Tokyo since 2015, is one of beauty, characterised by its clarity and philosophical approach, and elicited much attention. The Artistic Director of Opera ONO Kazushi will be on the podium replacing the former Artistic Director IIMORI Taijiro.

Internationally acclaimed Wagnerian singers Michael KUPFER-RADECKY and FUJIMURA Mihoko will return to the stage of NNTT alongside the stunning Japanese singers.

*Replacing IIMORI Taijiro who unfortunately has had to withdraw from conducting this long piece because he is not yet in good shape after the surgery in December, ONO Kazushi (11, 14, 17, 20 March) and JOYA Masahiro (23 March) will be filling the role of Conductors for the performances.

*Due to the Japanese government's travelling restrictions from overseas, international artists who were scheduled to perform in this production will not be able to come to Japan. The cast will be replaced by the artists as below.
