The new piece consists of three movements. In each movement piano and percussion present the respective musical materials, while the string and wind instruments explore how the range of possible timbres in chamber music can be expanded.
While working on the second part of “Moments Musicaux” I got occupied with several serious social problems that took place in my surroundings. Human relations and religious principles that I had taken for granted up until now were suddenly called into question. Without doubt this emotionally confusing situation has, whether directly or on a subconscious level, contributed to the creation of the piece. In addition, as a composer I am particularly interested in the concept of “colour”. “Moments Musicaux II” is the result of such “moments of colour” and “colours of the moment”."
