Wei-Chieh Lin: “Ruins”

His music has been performed by ensembles such as the Ensemble Intercontemporain, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Sinfonietta & Philharmonic Orchestra, Curious Chamber Players, Multilaterale, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, Insomnio, Alarm Will Sound, Phoenix Basel, ECCE, Meitar, dissonART, Vertixe Sonora, BlauerReiter, Suono Giallo, Proyecto Ocnos and the Formosa Quartet. Lin’s compositions have received numerous awards, including the Honorable Mention at the Gaudeamus Muziek Prize of 2011.
Wei-Chieh Lin has also participated in many festivals, including the Académie musicale de Villecroze, Asian Composers League, Manifeste@Ircam, Voix Nouvelles Royaumont, Etchings, Mizzou, Sonutopias Campusculturae, Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music, Inaudita, Composit, Klangspuren, Matrix 15, Mixtur, VI International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky City and Impuls. He has also held various residencies, among them that at Paul Sacher Foundation.
