The Goethe-Institut Korea offers various projects that aim to facilitate an open exchange of ideas and experiences among the art and culture scene. We aim to create platforms where people can come together, discuss current topics, and foster cultural encounters. We collaborate closely with institutions, initiatives, and artists to support the development and realization of cultural projects. As a German cultural institute, we also provide information on the production of cultural and artistic content in Germany.

Digital library

The Onleihe is Goethe-Institut’s digital library (eLibrary). Here you can download about 20,000 German language eBooks, audio books, movies, materials for German language learners, magazines and newspapers.

Film archive

We offer institutions and cultural associations over 650 German films on DVD free of charge for non-commercial screenings in Korea.

On-site cultural archive

The on-site archive of the Goethe-Institut Korea tells the story of the institute's multifaceted activities since 1968 and can be visited by appointment.
