The project shines a light on the history of German-Lebanese interactions and shows that encounters between Lebanese and German people are part of a shared past.

The BibBus, provided by the Goethe-Institut Lebanon, brings books, games, and entertainment to refugee children and adolescents in Lebanon to stir their creativity and imagination and to provide them with sustainable access to education.

Ideas Boxes

The Goethe-Institut Lebanon introduced the Ideas Boxes in mid-November 2016 to support disadvantaged children, adolescents and adults taking refuge in Lebanon, who have limited or no access to libraries or other sources of informal education.

My Book – My Teacher

As part of the “My book – my teacher” project, over 24,500 books are to be handed out for free to refugee children, allowing them to partake in literature and thereby kindling the joy of reading.
