Ahmad, Farida, Fatima, Hiba, Ahmad, Lokman, Mayar, Mohammad, Omar, Cedra, and Maram are between 8 and 13 years old. Originally from Syria, they currently live in Khalde. They took these snapshots in Khalde, Rmeileh, Mreije, and Chiah as part of a photography training program. Shot with disposable film and digital cameras, these pictures offer intimate insights into the daily lives of the participating children and their aspirations.
This workshop was part of Goethe-Institut’s Ideas Box – a cultural education project for children.
It took place between September and November 2019 and was conducted by photography trainers from Zakira – the Image Festival Association.
