The workshop is taking place in the framework of the BBX Weekender, the series of events highlighting the cultural landscape of modern Berlin, organized in collaboration with The Grand Factory.

Marcus Rüssel, CEO and founder of Europe’s largest online booking platform - gigmit - speaks about how to export your music as a Lebanese band and how to go to Germany, either for touring or to play at festivals.
In this workshop, you learn about all important players in the German music market, get insights in how to get gigs at festivals or for your tour. It will give you insights into the German music landscape, typical deal structures, what to expect on tour and how to marketing your gigs. Also, what is the challenge and what to expect from digital services like gigmit will be part of it. gigmit is the leading organization for Europe’s showcase festival network, called INES which is the first go-to platform if you want to export your music to Europe. Marcus Rüssel will explain the project and tell you all insights how to become part of it. The workshop will be followed by an extended Q&A session.

About Marcus Rüssel:
Marcus Rüssel is the CEO and founder of gigmit and concert promoter with Herzblut. He has, since 2001, developed his career as a concert and festival promoter and a consultant and manager for musicians. He is connected with a wide range of bands and DJs and with international agencies and promoters. In 2009 Marcus started researching different ways of funding and financing, primarily in the creative industry. He thereby knows how to establish a business. With that knowledge and his experience, he founded gigmit in 2012 and has since lead the company as CEO. His online music booking platform, gigmit, serves to connect promoters and musicians for an easier booking process.
