Agenda 14

Agenda 14 is committed to promoting freedom of expression and human rights through training and assisting young filmmakers with a focus on female participation in digital storytelling, short film production and screenings. For two consecutive times Agenda 14 was selected to be funded by the International Relief Fund, initiated by the Federal Foreign Office and the Goethe-Institut.

This year thematic focus will be on women and Covid-19, on building capacities of female storytellers, technicans and filmmakers. Therefore, Agenda 14 will invite female storytellers across the country to submit their stories, of which seven stories will be selected and and converted into short films.

Express yourself through the art of film and create your own stories with the help and guidance of Till Passow. This Project is funded by the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka and Pakistan and hopes to encourage young emerging filmmakers from Sri Lanka and Pakistan to pursue a career in the art of filmmaking.

Goodnight Colombo - Trailer

This is an Agenda 14 anthology film created by 11 young directors, based on experiences of the Coronavirus pandemic, shot with a minimalist approach to cast and crew and produced within the restrictions that prevail within the ‘new normal’. This film has been shot entirely on a smartphone.

The Infinite Library

The Infinite Library is a travelling installation that uses VR and other media to reimagine the future of libraries as interactive spaces that engage visitors through multisensory forms of storytelling. It seeks to embed human stories within a much grander narrative, one which includes the birth of our planet and the evolution of all life forms.
