featuring Moritz Baumgärtner
Experimental Berlin-based Drummer Moritz Baumgärtner first visited Sri Lanka in December 2016 while touring South-Asia with the Melt Trio. During this short stay he connected with fellow drummer and music educator Sumudi Suraweera. This March Moritz Baumgärtner has returned for a 3 week residency to share, mentor and jam with and at Musicmatters.
This concert at the Goethe-Institut will feature Moritz experimental drumming, solo and in collaboration with musicians of the Musicmatters ensemble.
