Presentation of research & panel discussion

Hear the findings of the project entitled “Borderlands, Brokers, and Peace Building: war to peace transitions viewed from the margins”. This is a 2-years comparative research project funded by the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and researched by Prof. Jonathan Goodhand (SOAS University of London), Dr. Oliver Walton (University of Bath) and a research team from CEPA. The project aims to generate a better understanding of contested war to peace transitions in Nepal and Sri Lanka with a view to improving state-building and peace-building interventions in post-war contexts. The originality of this project lies in the way it takes the margins of the state as the starting point for understanding and explaining the political and economic dynamics of 'post war' transition.

You can find out more by visiting the official website of the project here --> http://www.borderlandsasia.org/"

Goethe-Institut is venue partner to this project of Center for Poverty Analysis (CEPA), International Alert, SOAS London, University of Barth and ESRC.
