Enjoying cinema is a privilege that is mostly limited to urban citizens. The Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka aims to enable the pleasure of cinema to the people in all countrysides of Sri Lanka, who normally do not have access to cinema. Therefore it initiated Cinema on Tour.
In partnership with several international organisations they organized Australian, French and German and Swiss films. These films are family friendly and will be shown in eight villages including Puttlama, Nuwara Eliya, Anuradhapura and Vavuniya. The entry to Cinema on Tour is free.
