A story as exciting as a thriller: This investigative documentary shows how the oil industry secretly has been financing scientific studies, launching false media reports and systematically been deceiving the public about the consequences of climate change—since 1946! These companies deliberately financed research to discredit their own results, tried to explain climate change through sunspots or deny it altogether. They stressed statistical errors and uncertainties—and climate change deniers still apply these methods today. This is a story about the biggest cover-up in history, called the biggest scandal in human history by some, which lasted for 60 years and is only now being revealed.

Director: Johan von Mierbach, Colour, 2017, 72 Min.
