Learning from the past would mean better adaptation in the future. Nowadays, the word climate change is deeply rooted in our society and yet, how do we know that climate is changing if we only have instrumental data from the last 100 years? In this documentary, researchers from the University of Zaragoza make a journey through isolated lakes, ancient forests, remote glaciers, deep caves and archives of rare and historical manuscripts, chasing evidence that allows us to infer past climate conditions beyond the instrumental period. Additionally, the most important scientists in their fields accompany us on this adventure to discover the climate secrets hidden behind this evidence. Understanding the climate of the past will help to contextualize the current warming, translating into a better adaptation in the future.
