Love and death in the wholesale market: after 27-year-old Christian lost his job, he starts clearing goods in a wholesale market. Christian immerses himself in a world he is not familiar with: the long corridors, the hustle and bustle around the cash registers, the forklifts. Bruno instructs him in his work, teaches him how to drive a forklift and becomes a fatherly friend. In the aisles, Christian meets his colleague at the confectionery, 39-year-old Marion. The coffee machine becomes their meeting point, they get closer. Christian soon became a recognized member of the wholesale market family. He passes the forklift truck test. And he has long since fallen in love with the mysterious Marion, the whole wholesale market is excited. But they remain cautious in their dealings with each other, because the candy Marion is married.
At Christmas, on Christmas Eve on the loading ramp, Christian's advances seem to be finally rewarded: They are holding hands. But soon after, Marion no longer comes to work, and Christian is desperate. After all, it is Bruno who reveals to him that Marion is on sick leave. And that the reason Marion won't come back for the time being is because of her husband, because he's an asshole. Christian can no longer stand the uncertainty. He drives to Marion, gains access to the apartment and tries to solve Marion's secret. But there is nothing. He falls into a deep hole and is late for work. Then Marion shows up in the wholesale market as if she had never been away. In the deep-freeze warehouse, thickly packed like Eskimos, the two come closer than ever before. But happiness is short-lived ...
