Non-Applicable (N/A) is a live electronic music act and audio-visual collaboration consisting of two experienced practitioners of the form, Nigel Perera & Asvajit. Representing the culmination of a decade-long journey of artistic co-development, the project serves as an outlet for the duo’s combined musical output across a multiplicity of genres and stylistic frameworks ranging from dub, jazz and funk to the many sub-genres of house and techno music. With its emphasis on hardware-based live performances and immersive visual experiences, the project aims to shift local perceptions of electronic music as an artistic medium.
Sweetie is an electronic musician based in Colombo. It was upon attending a series of electronic music workshops at the Goethe-Institut in 2019 that his interest in live electronic music production was piqued. He was soon picked up and platformed by local electronic imprint Jambutek Recordings on their 2019 release “JBTKVA004” featuring his debut track “Junk”. Since then, he has explored genres such as microhouse, with some hip-hop, jazz, funk and break-beat flair.
Thattu Pattu intends to spark a renewed interest in music from the fringes of Sri Lanka. A project by Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka and Fold Media Collective.
