Please contact our language office to make an appointment for a final written and oral evaluation. Beginners do not need to take the placement test.
Duration: approx. 1 hour
Fee: 50,00 RM (test fee will be waived, should you register for the course on the same day)

Course fees do not include books (Standard Courses: 170,00 RM) and examination fees.

Courses


1. Payment

1.1 Full payment of course fees must be made upon registration of the course. Payment can be made by cash or cheque in favor of “Goethe-Institut” or bank transfer.

1.2 For early bird registration (only for existing customers) the reduction only applies if payment is received 14 days before the course commences.

2. Cancellation/ Change of dates

2.1 In the event of cancellation or changing the dates of the course by the participant a note has to be submitted in written form. The following fees will be retained for each course:
- Cancellation/ change of booking up to 14 days before the start of the course:
20% or minimum of RM 150.00.
- Cancellation/ change of booking up to 7 days before the start of the course: 50%.
- After that no refund is possible.

2.2 Notice for cancellation or rescheduling of lessons by individual class participants has to be given at least two working days (min. 48 hours) before the lesson takes place, otherwise the lesson will have to be considered as valid and will be deducted from the remaining teaching units. No classes will be held after the termination date of the course.

2.3 Replacement of classes that cannot be attended due to illness or individual work restrain is not possible.

3. Qualifying for the next course level

Course participants prove their ability to proceed to the next higher level by passing the appropriate examination (e.g. SD1 for A1; SD2 for A2; B1 for ZD, Goethe-Zertifikat B2, C1 and C2).

4. Attendence Certificates

4.1 Attendance certificates will be issued when course participants have attended at least 70 % of the total number of lessons.

4.2 Saturday course participants will only receive attendance certificates upon completion of the second half of one level, such as the Beginners’ A1.2 level.


Examinations

5. Registration

The Goethe-Institut Malaysia offers every student the opportunity to register for an examination at the end of each full course level. Examinations need to be passed, in order to proceed to the next higher course level. Registration and payment for any examination must be completed within 10 working days before the examination date. Later payment cannot be accepted.

6. Change of examination dates

Students who want to sit for the examination at the end of other courses than their own, can do so on payment of an additional RM50.00 administration fee and upon availability.
