 Grüße aus Fukushima ©Mathias Bothor-Majestic Marie and her husband split up at the day of their marriage. Thereupon Marie wants to flee from her life in Europe and decides to join the organization “Clowns4Help” that is supposed to cheer up the victims of the catastrophe of Fukushima. When Marie arrives in Japan she soon realizes that she can hardly help the victims. Instead she meets an old geisha, Satomi who lives reclusively in the exclusion zone. Satomi and Marie slowly bond, realizing that both of them suffer from loss and guilt.

On the set of “The Young Karl Marx” by Raoul Peck Photo (detail): © picture alliance / Jens Trenkler / dpa “The Young Karl Marx“ highlights the years 1843 until 1848, starting with Marx’ Exile in Paris and closes with the genesis of “The Communist Manifesto”. In exile Marx meets Friedrich Engels. At first the two don’t seem to like each other, but when Marx hears about Engels writing an article about the suffering of British laborers the both start to establish a friendship. Their relationship soon gets tight: The two are convinced to change the established social conditions together.
