All terms are with various levels from beginner to advanced and tailor made courses for special purposes such as company courses, courses for tourism or preparation courses for a stay in Germany.

The Goethe-Institut Namibia gives young people the possibility to gain German language proficiency by fulfilling their special needs in “German for Youth” courses for teenagers from 15 -18 years of age and courses for children aged 9 to 14 years. Standard course levels offered are A1 (beginner) to B1 (advanced), each divided into 3 terms lasting one year of studying. Participants with knowledge of German will sit for a brief placement test to allow us to identify the most suitable course level.

Course fees are N$1700 for German, Afrikaans and Oshiwambo courses including the course book (1 term).

Standard courses will consist of 56 teaching units over a period of 1 term (3 months) and take place either on Monday and Wednesday OR Tuesday and Thursday 90 minutes each. Course times are 9.00h – 10.30h or 17.30 – 19.00h.

Whenever possible we gladly assist you in finding the appropriate course satisfying your demand or creating an individual course independently from the prescribed standard course times.
