Teacher for German Foreign Language

Honorary teacher at the Goethe-Institut Namibia (local staff)

The Goethe-Institut Namibia in Windhoek is looking for honorary teachers to teach German as of now or later. Working conditions and remuneration are based on Namibian law and local custom.

Requirements:
- Native speaker of German or C1 level for non-native speakers.
- Completed university studies in DaF, German language and literature or comparable education
- Examiner certificate or willingness to take this exam
- Knowledge and handling of all common MS Office software products, especially Excel, Word and Teams
- Teaching experience with a language course provider
- Experience with current teaching materials for DaF
- Experience with learning-oriented teaching methods and modern teaching technology, as well as the willingness to also teach online
- High level of intercultural competence as well as strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to teach classes (also in the evenings and on Saturdays!)
- Namibian citizenship / For non-Namibians: residence permit and/or work permit.

Responsibilities:
- Teaching in the levels A1 - C1
- Preparation and wrap-up of lessons
- Correction of homework and tests
- Conducting central examinations of the Goethe-Institut

If the required conditions are not met in full, the remuneration may differ from the above.
