The traveling canvas and mapping of time
An exhibition of visual art works produced by more than one artist but not at once or in the same space. Coordinated and curated by Jaimee-Lee Diergaardt, this exhibition explores the concept of memories and how works of art reflect the personal identities of artists as they work together on a canvas that travels throughout Windhoek - from one artist to another - before completion and the final exhibition. Each canvas will reflect the input of more than one artist and how each combines or overwrites the work of another to produce a final piece.
Jaimee-Lee Diergaardt participated in the Curatorial Bootcamp held in collaboration with the National Art Gallery of Namibia during May 2019. The bootcamp included the scouting for potential curators of exhibitions at the NAGN and the Goethe-Institut Namibia.
