ASISSTANT COORDINATOR FOR THE PROJECT “RESIDENCY RE-SOURCED”
Scope of work 40hrs/month (25%)
The Goethe-Institut requires an assistant coordinator for the project “Residency Re-Sourced” This project is by the Goethe-Institut, supported by the The Excellence and Structural Funds of the board of directors of the Goethe-Institut and implemented under the Art/Space Negotiations project. Goethe-Institut is looking for a committed assistant co-ordinator for the period from January 2025 until December 2026. The working time is 10 hours per week or a max. of 40 hrs per month.

THE PROJECT
Residency Re-Sourced investigates successful models that might be replicated to enhance a vibrant creative landscape in African cities. Spaces across African countries will engage in a metalogue, a participatory conversation around the resourcing of community art spaces and investigating successful models in creating a vibrant creative landscape in African cities. This project focuses on art spaces offering residency programmes to meet demand for intra-African and transcontinental mobility and exchange.For more information about the project, visit Residency Re-Sourced - Goethe-Institut Nigeria
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the project coordinator, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining records.
- Communication Support: Assist in the development and dissemination of communication materials, including newsletters, social media posts, and promotional materials.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodation, and other logistical needs for participants and stakeholders.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in the collection and analysis of data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Budget Tracking: Help track project expenses and ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
- Event Assistance: Support the organization and execution of project events, workshops, and meetings.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Assist in communicating with stakeholders and maintaining relationships with participating art residency spaces and artists.
- Documentation: Help document project activities, including taking minutes at meetings, compiling reports, and maintaining project files.
- Resource Management: Assist in the distribution and management of project resources.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in arts management, project management, or a related field
- Proven experience in project coordination or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the arts or cultural sector is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the West African art scene is desirable.
