About ENTER AFRICA
Can Games make a better world?
From June 25 to 28, 2018 in Lagos, teams of architects, designers, urban planners, engineers, IT experts and professionals in the culture sector will develop ideas for their city. The various ideas – with those from 14 other participating cities - will eventually lead to a transnational digital game about the future scenarios in big African cities.
The game will be presented in August 2019 at Gamescom in Cologne, the largest European games fair.
The future of our world is already being decided today in the big cities. An example of this is the Sub-Saharan Africa. Approximately 18 new megacities are expected to develop here by 2025. But how can access to medical care, water, electricity and education be achieved over a wide area? How do we regulate traffic and housing and how do we manage the fair distribution of clean air and green spaces?
With Enter Africa, the Goethe-Institut is imparting knowledge about analogue and digital game development in order to actively think ahead and plan transformation processes.
Free Entry. Pre-registration required (Limited seats only).
