The EUNIC cluster Lagos, consisting of the British Council, Alliance Française and Goethe-Institut, invites you to an evening on love : Amour, Love, Liebe, but also Ihunanya, Ife, and Kauna.
Love is universal and every human being experiences it, in spite of diverse origins, backgrounds or age. Since centuries, people around the world have sung of the sorrows and joys of love.
Directed by the Nigerian film maker Remi Vaughan-Richards, a group of language students from three European cultural institutes - British Council, Alliance Française and Goethe-Institut – developed together a poetry performance, in which they include love poems in various European and Nigerian languages, performed in the original versions or English translations.
The European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) is a network of European national institutes of culture and national bodies engaged in cultural and related activities beyond their national borders.
