Do you enjoy reading books, and do you think children should be introduced to reading at early age?
Do you like the idea of being a part of a community of like-minded, open-hearted people?
Will you take and encourage your child to take this journey seriously, and have some fun too?
You have come to the right place!

Read with Uncle Georges © Goethe-Institut Nigeria Read with Uncle Georges is a monthly activity developed and implemented by the library of the Goethe-Institut Lagos. With this project, we want to give the opportunity to children to taste books at an early age. From 4 to 14 years old, kids are welcome to join us every second Saturday of the month.

The reading will be done both in English and German. The participants will be encouraged to read on their own under the supervision of the library manager. However, we are going to read to the younger participants who cannot read yet on their own.

The library of the Goethe-Institut Lagos is gradually increasing its capacity in terms of children books, both in English and German. We therefore encourage parents to come join us as we know, to paraphrase Victor Hugo: every child that we educate is a Man we gain.

Next reading: Saturday 11th of June. We start at 10H00 and finish at 11H30
