Book Party
Increasingly, it is clear that there is nothing more attractive than someone who can hold an intelligent conversation with a fiery but refined thirst for knowledge. So if you're a book lover or simply looking to expand your social circle, this Book Party is the perfect place for you.
The Library and Information Department of the Goethe Institute has put together a really cool lineup of events!At this Book Party, the following books will be dramatically performed by professional voice actors, accompanied by the right ambient sound:
Gods of Nigeria by Kome Otobo, which is a book detailing the rich diversity of divinity in over 10 Nigerian ethnic groups;
(We need to mention that Kome Otobo with her witty, nerdy, yet spicy energy, carries a delicious curiosity that is well-intentioned to invigorate the world with what she has come to discover.)
If An Eagle Cannot See by John Pascal Anakwe is a collection of poetry exploring the Nigerian socio-economic and political context and his personal experiences.
(And we should mention that John Pascal is another eccentric intellectual with a panache for poetic compositions of lived experiences.)
