Exhibition Une r’Ekpè (song of the soil)
A solo exhibition by Stacey Ravvero that explores humanity’s connection to nature and the need to be grounded in the midst of urban concretisation.
For this exhibition, Ravvero builds on research conducted during her residency in Berlin in 2022, which she extends into Lagos through working with soil and plants from her own garden. The works bring us into a conversation with the earth through a series of natural dye paintings and immersive installations that urge us to consider our place as a part of a larger ecosystem. During the opening, Ravvero will also lead a participatory performance of connection to the earth and gratitude to its creator.
Join us for the opening of this multi-sensorial exploration of the body in nature, on Thursday, October 19, at 6 pm at the Goethe Institut Nigeria, 7 Anifowoshe St, Victoria Island.
