Heb je ooit je eigen kunstmatige intelligentie willen ontwickelen? Of ben je bang dat AI de wereld zal overnemen? Dan is deze workshop echt iets voor jou.
In deze workshop voor beginners krijgen de deelnemers een praktisch inzicht in wat machine learning is door middel van interactieve demo’s, zoals het trainen van je computer om meerdere emoties te herkennen.
Deze workshop is gericht op mensen zonder technische achtergrond en er is geen codeerervaring voor nodig. Je moet wel een laptop met webcam meenemen om een aantal van de voorbeelden te kunnen zien.
Na de workshop zullen we ons weer richten op ons mens-zijn en sluiten we af met een samenzijn onder het genot van bier, wijn en niet-alcoholische dranken.
De toegangsprijs is een waarborg voor uw deelname waarmee we het aantal no-shows willen verminderen. Deze krijgt u van ons terug als u de workshop bijwoont.
De workshop wordt in het Engels gegeven.

Over Tomo Kihara
Tomo Kihara is een creatief developer die speelse interventies maakt waarmee hij complexe sociaal-technische thema’s aan de orde stelt. Hij werkt samen met organisaties als de Mozilla Foundation en Waag om de gevolgen van autonome besluitvormingssystemen in de samenleving te onderzoeken. Zijn projecten zijn internationaal te zien geweest bij de WIRED Creative Hack Award in Tokyo en in het Design Museum in Londen.

Machine Learning for Absolute Beginners
Have you ever wanted to train your own AI? Or are you scared that some AI will take over the world? If so, this workshop is for you. In this workshop for beginners, participants will get a hands-on understanding of what machine learning is through interactive demos such as training your computer to detect multiple emotions. This workshop is targeted at people with no technical background and requires no coding experience. Bringing the laptop with a webcam will be required to run some of the examples.
Refocusing on our humanness, after the workshop we will gather for beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
The entrance fee is a deposit for attendance with which we would like to reduce the number of no-shows. You will get it back from us if you attend the workshop.
The workshop will be conducted in English.

Tomo Kihara is a creative developer making playful interventions that challenge complex socio-technical issues. He is working with organisations such as the Mozilla Foundation and the Waag to explore the implications of autonomous decision-making systems in society. His projects have been exhibited internationally at the WIRED Creative Hack Award at Tokyo and at the London Design Museum.
