Workshop on digital weaving and handicrafts today

Online

On 13 May at 7:00 p.m. there will be another online workshop in the Art Meets Tech series about digital weaving.

Participation without registration:

With the artist Amandine David we explore weaving as a digital language and as a method of co-creation. Using spreadsheets and open source software, we learn to create patterns and weave designs.

Amandine David is a Brussels-based designer specializing in combining traditional crafts and digital technologies. Her work combines techniques such as 3D printing, weaving and digital knitting to create innovative, hybrid designs. She is co-founder of the nomadic residency program Hors Pistes, which promotes exchanges between artisans and contemporary designers.

The Art Meets Tech series explores visual art, music, narrative and craft, highlighting technologies such as AI, Web3, Immersive Technologies, Digital Manufacturing and Creative Coding. With predominantly online workshops and hybrid formats, the program offers practical experiences, critical discussions and networking within a diverse European community. It invites you to discover how technology is reshaping art and how art is redefining technology - a dynamic exchange platform for ideas and skills.
