Goethe-Institut New Zealand and Auckland Writers Festival warmly invite you to a literary talk with Jenny Erpenbeck.

Something of a European literary seer, the German opera director, playwright and novelist Jenny Erpenbeck has netted multiple awards, including the German Order of Merit, the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize and the Strega European Prize.

Following her novels Visitation and The End of Days, Erpenbeck has written Go, Went, Gone, a profound examination of Europe’s current refugee crisis. She discusses her work and themes– feminism, Jewish history, Stalinist Russia, and East Germany among them – with Lloyd Jones.
